All-Russia Inter-Regional Firefighter Competition Held in Astrakhan

On 28-30 June, Astrakhan hosted All-Russia Inter-Regional Firefighter Competition within the framework of the XXVth Championship of the Emergencies Ministry and All-Russia Voluntary Fire Organization, where 6 teams from the Southern Federal District took part. Caspian Pipeline Consortium supported the representatives of the Astrakhan Region, Republic of Kalmykia and Krasnodar Krai in procurement of sport uniforms and footwear, as well as prizes intended for the best competitors. The Kalmykia team participated in the event for the first time.
For three days young men and women of three age categories competed in the race with obstacles, climbing a fire ladder, fire-fighting relay race and equipment deployment.
The competition resulted in the Krasnodar Krai team being the best in equipment deployment. Among overall leaders was the Astrakhan Region team, taking an honorable second place. The winner was the Rostov Region team with 63058 points.
It should be noted that the Stavropol Krai team, who, with the Consortium’s support, participated at that time in the Championship of the North Caucuses Regional Center of the RF Emergencies Ministry, won overall victory with 65581 points. Now the team will represent the region in the All-Russia Firefighter Competition to be held in July in Samara.
Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been providing support for training and participation of team members in firefighter competitions since 2003. Over that time, the aid to the sportsmen from the regions crossed by the oil pipeline amounted to about RUR 10 million. The competitions are held to develop and popularize firefighter sport in Russia.
For reference.
