Oil and Oil Product Pipeline Transport Science and Technologies

On October 19, 2016, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban took part in a meeting of the editorial board of the scientific magazine "Oil and Oil Product Pipeline Transport Science and Technologies”.
Yury Lisin, General Director, Transneft Scientific Research Institute, gave an opening speech to the participants of the event. Then the members of the editorial council discussed future development prospects of the magazine.
The publication was founded in 2011 by Transneft Oil and Oil Product Pipeline Transport Research Institute in order to exchange innovative ideas and opinions, enhance, improve the professionalism and expand the outlook of  Russian and international experts working in the oil and oil product pipeline transport industry.
In the years that it has existed the magazine has published 25 issues with 460 scientific articles submitted by 720 authors from 12 countries.   
In November 2015, the specialist scientific magazine project "Oil and Oil Product Pipeline Transport Science and Technologies" won the first price in the category "Federal Mass Media" in the nomination "Energy Industry in Focus: Specialist Mass Media in the Energy Industry" in the First All-Russian Competition of mass media publications, press services of fuel & energy industry companies and regional administrations, MediaTEK.

CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
