CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

Construction of CPC Pump Station In Kazakhstan Is In Progress

On August 1, 2017, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban visited APS-3A in Kazakhstan, which is being constructed as part of the Expansion Project. On his trip he was accompanied by Christopher Scott Bowen, Engineering and Projects Consultant.
The construction camp, which will accommodate the PS operation and maintenance personnel, is currently being commissioned. Contractors’ representatives together with CPC OCC dispatchers have proceeded to testing process equipment. The site finishing work is in progress.
PS process pipelines oil-in and comprehensive testing of equipment are scheduled for August 2017. 
After the PS walk-through N. Gorban conducted a meeting with representatives of Management Company Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures and Contractors, in the course of which the dates of readiness to oil-in, testing of all systems and scheduled APS-3A commissioning were finalized: Middle of Quarter four 2017.
On the same day a ceremony was held at APS-3A where the Contractors’ representatives were awarded for successful implementation of the labor safety program.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
