Working Meeting of CPC and KazTransOil Heads in Atyrau

A working meeting of CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, Dennis Fahy, First Deputy General Director, Operations, and KazTransOil (KTO) Management and specialists was held on October 11, 2017 in CPC Eastern Region office in Atyrau. The delegation of Kazakhstan oil transportation company was headed by Alexey Pirogov, First Deputy General Director. The parties discussed a wide range of matters pertaining to long-term cooperation and development of interaction on various aspects, including KTO involvement in assuring sustainable operation of Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline within the Republic of Kazakhstan and sharing best practices ub energy resource transportation.
The Companies have been efficiently cooperating since CPC commencement of operation in 2001.  Thus, to provide access to the Shippers to CPC crude pipeline KazTransOil put into operation at its Atyrau Pump Station additional facilities, which are used to transship raw hydrocarbons transported by Uzen-Atyrau, Kenkiyak-Atyrau, Martyshy-Atyrau crude pipelines and also transported by railroad, to CPC System.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
