CPC CEO attended Gubkin Oil & Gas University Board of Regents meeting

Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, attended a final annual meeting of the Board of Regents of the Gubkin Oil & Gas University. The meeting was chaired by Victor Zubkov, RF President’s Special Envoy for Interface with the Forum of Gas Exporter Countries and Gazprom management board chairman.
Victor Martynov, the University Chancellor, presented a 2017 performance report. The Board of Regents gave a favorable praise of the university’s activities, noting that the higher education institution had achieved good results in interfacing with major oil & gas companies, thus ensuring high standards of professional education for its graduates.
CPC-R and Gubkin Oil & Gas University signed a cooperation agreement in 2015. The document opened up broad opportunities for cooperation in various spheres: from joint preparation of scientific publications and advanced vocational training of CPC-R specialists at the Gubkin university to arranging internships and pre-degree apprenticeships for students at CPC facility sites.
In 2018, CPC's charity funds were used to renovate the Grand Academic Lecture Room at the Gubkin university.  The consortium allocated almost RUR 32 million for lecture room renovations and multimedia equipment. Earlier, CPC had repaired the roofs on three buildings in the university student campus at a cost of over RUR 9 million in 2015.

CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
