CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

Volumes Loaded at CPC Marine Terminal in August

In August 2018 4,725,374 gross tons (37,282,424 barrels) of crude oil were lifted from CPC-R Marine Terminal, or 308,608 tons more than during the same period of the last year.
1,939,180 tons of lifted 4,725,374 tons of crude oil come from Tengiz field, 830,658 tons - from Karachaganak field, 986,658 tons - from Kashagan field and also 968,854 tons - from other Producers.
The Russian Shippers exported 723,764 gross tons of crude oil through CPC-R crude pipeline system in August.
As a reminder, 21-23 August 2018 saw the planned 72-hour Tengiz  – Novorossiysk oil pipeline shutdown and completion of large scopes of work aimed at ensuring designed performance parameters and reliability requirements of the CPC production facilities.
Starting 1 January through to 1 September 2018 inclusive the oil volume loaded amounted to 40,323,310 tons. Over the above period CPC handled 366 tankers, 44 of which in August.
In total, from 2001 through 1 September 2018, 561,887,581 tons of crude oil were delivered to the world markets by Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline system, including 488,707,712 tons from Kazakhstani Shippers and 73,179,712 tons of “black gold” produced in Russia.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
