Meeting between CPC Management and Astrakhan Oblast Administration

A working meeting between Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, and Sergey Morozov, Interim Acting Governor of Astrakhan Oblast took place on October 16, 2018 at the Astrakhan Oblast Administration Office. Among the participants of the meeting were Mikhail Grishankov, CPC Deputy General Director, RF Government Relations and Radik Kharisov, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Astrakhan Oblast Government. The parties reviewed a wide range of issues pertaining to industrial cooperation as social partnership.
CPC General Director briefed Sergey Morozov on CPC operations in Russia and, in particular, in Astrakhan Oblast.
Nikolay Gorban advised that for the last 20 years Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been one of the strategic partners of Astrakhan Oblast and has been active in development of the regional oil and gas complex, as well as of its social sphere.
At the meeting the Governor noted that water supply is a problem in certain districts of the Oblast. CPC volunteered to modernize the first-lift stations in the vicinity of Volzhsky, Astrakhan Oblast, at its own cost. According to local administration, this work is necessitated by silting in the water intake zone of the station that supplies water to three nearby settlements and Astrakhan PS of the Consortium.
Sergey Morozov and Nikolay Gorban also discussed the possibility of construction by CPC of a bridge over the Kigach River in Krasnoyarsk District to ensure reliable and safe year-round movement of the local population, as well as for the CPC needs related to operation of APS-4A.
CPC General Director also presented further CPC plans for the Astrakhan Oblast social sphere support that covers culture, education, medical services and sports.
For reference: in 1998-2018 CPC invested in charity projects in Astrakhan Oblast approximately RUR 800 mln. Also, in 2014 -2018 the Consortium allocated nearly RUR 180 mln to support regional health services. The most noticeable projects in this sphere were purchase of a CT system for the Regional Childrens’ Hospital named after N. Silischeva, an angiograph for the Alexander and Maria Regional Teaching Hospital, as well as ambulances.
In 2017-2018, CPC built and equipped three kindergartens in Astrakhan Oblast: in Baibek, Starokucherganovka and Kharabali.
