CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

CPC handed over state-of-the-art computerized tomography scanner

On January 17, 2019, in Elista, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Head of Kalmykia Republic Alexey Orlov handed over state-of-the-art 32 slice CT scanner to the municipal polyclinic. The official ceremony was also attended by Health Minister of the Republic Yury Kikenov. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium contributed 25,4 million rubles to purchase this advanced medical equipment.  
Computerized tomography scanner CT520 will be used to examine small anatomical structures of innards, skeleton system, and tissues to detect complex diseases and pathologies. The scanner belongs to the new generation of the so called smart CT-scanners, it gives a high quality image at a high speed of data collection with optimal radiation exposure. The purchase of CT-scanner for the municipal polyclinic will help to make this diagnostics more available and prompt for local residents, and will reduce the time of waiting for scheduled examinations. 
As a corporate citizen, Caspian Pipeline Consortium brings into effect various charity programs in the Republic for many years, paying special attention to health care. Through close cooperation between CPC and Kalmykia Republic leaders, Republic’s hospital named after Zhemchuev, Republic’s children health center, Republic’s children’s hospital, city birth center named after Shungaeva, Republic’s TB dispensary, Iki-Burul and Chernozemelskiy district hospitals were provided with modern medical facilities. The ambulance car park was significantly renewed. Over the last years, CPC invested in social projects in the Republic of Kalmykia more than 150 million rubles in health care only.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
