CPC Management visited PS-2 in Kalmykia

On January 17, 2019, Caspian Pipeline Consortium management team comprising Kenneth Yoss, First Deputy General Director, Operations, Alibek Zhilbayev, Consultant, General Business, and Vladimir Shmakov, General Manager, Operations, visited PS-2 – the most remote CPC facility located in Chernozemelsky District of Kalmykia Republic, at KP-845 of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline.
The team inspected the main equipment of the station and held a meeting with the specialists to discuss the performance in 2018 and work plans for 2019.
It is to be recalled that PS-2 is the newest pump station of the Consortium, put in constant operation in April 2018, marking the completion of the Expansion Project that increased CPC pipeline capacity to 67 million tons per year.
PS-2 was designed as midpoint pump station, operating 24/7 and maintained by shift personnel, that is why there is a rotational camp providing comfortable accommodation for the operations and contractors’ staff.
For construction of all CPC facilities there were used stated of the art technologies and equipment, making the pipeline of the Consortium one of the most safe, reliable, and modern pipeline systems.
