Kalmykia Doctors Received from CPC the Newest Mobile Mammographer

On April 4, 2019, in the City of Elista, Mikhail Grishankov, CPC Deputy General Director, RF Government Relations, and Batu Khasikov, Acting Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, have transferred the newest mobile digital mammographer to the city polyclinic. The solemn ceremony was held at V.D. Mandzhiyeva Republican Children's Medical Center, which actively participates in the implementation of maternal and child health programs in Kalmykia and has a long history of cooperation with CPC.
The mobile mammography room is designed to improve organization of specialized mammological care, early detection and prevention of breast diseases, reducing the number of patients with cancer detected in the late stages of development.
Caspian Pipeline Consortium has allocated almost RUB 18 million for the purchase of the mammographer.  The complex is made on the basis of the PAZ chassis and consists of four compartments: the driver’s cabin, passenger compartment for transportation of employees, x-ray room, and medical compartment.  The life support systems of the vehicle provide a normal working temperature at ambient temperatures from minus 35 to plus 35 degrees.
The delivery package includes a digital X-ray receiver, an x-ray emitter with a beam forming device and additional x-ray filters, as well as a roentgenologist automated workstation with a monitor for visualizing images.
It should be added that the city polyclinic of Elista provides primary medical and sanitary care to the population not only of the republican center, but also of nearby settlements, in connection with which the clinic's service radius reaches 22 km.  The medical institution serves more than 80 thousand people. The radiotherapists have received additional professional education in a timely manner and are proficient in the examination technique that is necessary to work with the equipment of the mobile mammography room.
In 2018, only for the projects of the health sector development in Kalmykia, the Consortium has allocated more than 60 million rubles; and the total of funds allocated by CPC for implementation of various charitable programs in the Republic amounted to 75.5 million rubles.
