2019 CPC to Gifted Children Festival Round Two Starts

CPC to Gifted Children 2019 Round Two opens April 8, 2019. First Round Two young talents show started in Stavropol in Stavropol Children’s Activities Center hosting the gala and festival winner and runner-up award ceremony.
Igor Storozhenko, CPC General Manager, Public and Autorities Relations. Irina Kuvaldina, Deputy Stavropol Krai Governor and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
Irina Kuvaldina read an official greeting of Vladimir Vladimirov, Stavropol Krai Governor to the CPC General Director: “For many years this Festival helps children and young people of Stavropol to show their talents and to take first steps in their professional career. Hundreds of exceptional children take part in the Festival. I would like to thank you for a significant contribution that CPC brings to the development of Stavropol Krai. I count on further strengthening of our partnership".
Before the gala, winners of the regional round and their teachers took part in 3-day long master classes arranged by famous arts professionals, Honored Artists of Russia, laureates of various international competitions. Master classes were given by Svetlana Koroteeva, professor, chair of jazz singing, University of Humanities, Imo Elswisy, choreographer with international and Russian dance schools for Hip-hop and Jazz-funk (Italy and Egypt), Roman Kalkayev, theater and cinema actor, drama actor and directing faculty with Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS), Dagmara Kalashkova, head of stringed instrument art chair, Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music, ex-soloist of Russian State Academic Bolshoi Theater.
It’s worth mentioning 2,9 thousand children of Stavropol krai and over 100 education and culture institutions from almost 40 regional settlements took part in CPC to Gifted Children Festival 2019. The jury was to judge on more than 1 thousand videoclips.
As a reminder: CPC to Gifted Children Festival is a show of children’s amateur teams and performers, it is two decades old this year and it encompasses all of the Consortium’s regions in Russia.
Professional jury selected winners and prize-winners (all together 250 competitors) will be given opportunity of performing in the third festival round - Unifying Cultural Forum in Moscow to be held October 26-30, 2019. They will be joined by the CPC to Gifted Children Festival laureates from Kazakhstan who welcomes this competition for the first time this year.
The CPC to Talented Children festival contributes to preserving the originality of folk traditions and culture, gives chance to young talents to reveal themselves and to acquire new skills during master classes with well-known teachers. Each year the festival discovers bright new “stars”, who then honorably represent their region at All-Russia's and international creativity competitions.
