CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

Important social projects were discussed at the meeting of Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CPC-K Deputy General Director, RK Government Relations

Kairgeldy Kabyldin,CPC-K Deputy General Director, RK Government Relations, had a meeting with journalists, industry professionals and public organizations of Atyrau Region on April 10th during the Atyrau Oil&Gas International Exhibition.
Aybek Kranbayev, Deputy Akim, Atyrau Oblast, Uzakbay Karabalin, Deputy Chairman of Board, Kazakhstan Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Complex Companies, Kazenergy, also participated in the event.
During the meeting, Kairgeldy Kabyldin spoke about the projects implemented by the Company in the social sphere in 2018. CPC-K is known to be one of the major companies in Kazakhstan, investing funds in implementation of social projects in the Republic’s Western Region. Thus, by the end of the last year CPC-K had 5 large-scale projects implemented for the total value of KZT 1,770 million. Those projects included: construction of kindergartens for 290 kids in the new developing micro district Samal in Atyrau and in the village of Akkistau, Isataysky District, construction of a school for 80 children in the village of Zhastalap, Kurmangazinsky District.
In addition, in June 2018, the Victory Park was recondstructed in the settlement of Makat, Makatsky District. Over two hundred educational establishments in Atyrau Oblast are subscribed to the National Geographic Kazakhstan journal, which broadens the students’ horizon. The Consortium gives a lot of support to the indigent and disadvantaged groups of population in Atyrau Oblast; KZT 16.1 were allocated towards those purposes in 2018. As part of the traditional charity program “New Year together with CPC-K”, 140 children from poor families and orphans received New Year gifts - warm clothes and winter footwear.
In the current year, CPC-K continues to implement strategically important social projects. Under the Additional Agreement with Oblast Akimat, two large-scale facilities - the first family village for 80 habitants and a Youth House for 25 persons - are planned to be constructed in Atyrau. Those facilities are designed to resolve the orphanage problem in the Region. Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pointed out to the necessity of implementing that type of projects. 
At the meeting, another socially important event was also mentioned - 20 years of the CPC to Talented Children Festival, which the Consortium has been conducting in the Russian Federation till 2019. Starting from this year, thanks to participation of gifted children from Kazakhstan in the festival, the event has become international.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
