CPC Management Team visited CPC Eastern Region

On 9 July 2019, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, First Deputy General Director, Operations, Kenneth Yoss and General Manager, Field Operations, Vladimir Shmakov visited the CPC facilities in Kazakhstan. In Eastern Region CPC top managers visited Tengiz PS, Atyrau PS-3А and А-PS-4. Top managers inspected PS equipment and conducted unscheduled audits of CPC/contractors readiness for emergency response.
Tengiz PS and Atyrau PS were upgraded under the CPC Expansion Project in 2015. In Kazakhstan APS-4 was put into operation in 2016 and APS-3A - in 2017.
As part of the Debottlenecking Program (DBNP) it is planned to upgrade Atyrau PS, which includes the installation of a new ML pump unit. For Tengiz PS CPC is considering the upgrade of the CTM, replacement of three ML pumps, installation of several booster pump units, construction of two 20,000 m3 crude oil storage tanks, a substation and an overhead power line, upgrade of the switchgear, etc. ML pump impellers are to be replaced at APS-3A and APS-4.
We would like to remind you that pursuant to the CPC-KazTransOil contract signed in May 2018, KTO units commenced the maintenance, repair and emergency response operations at CPC-K facilities in Kazakhstan on 1 July 2018.
In 2018, CPC moved 54.3 MTA from Kazakhstan, which exceeds the 2017 volumes by 9%. The largest volumes of oil came to the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system from Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan oil fields - 28.7 M tons, 10.3 M tons and 13.2 M tons, respectively. Eastern Region had 20,322,343 man-hours worked without injuries and incidents, and its fleet total mileage was 1,228,474 km without MVAs in 2018.
For reference:
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
