CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

August CPC Panorama Corporate Magazine Issued

The main topic of the August issue of CPC Panorama is the launch of a Debottlenecking Program (DBN) by Caspian Pipeline Consortium. An article by Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, and an interview by Scott Christopher Bowen, CPC Consultant, Projects & Engineering, disclose the execution strategy and tactics of the new program aimed to increase transportation volumes from Kazakhstan through the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system up to at least 72.5 MTA and to provide a capability to lift over 80 MTA at the CPC Marine Terminal. A special photo report tells about a trip made by CPC Management to facility sites in Russia and Kazakhstan where work is planned under the DBN Program.
DBN work activities carried out in an operating facility environment will require the CPC team, its contractors and HSE experts to take additional health, safety and environmental protection measures. That is why the Safety and Ecology columns in the CPC Panorama magazine are always key.
The production theme is continued by the Issues and Solutions column covering international pipeline corrosion protection experience and the CPC anti-corrosion system.
The magazine publishes a report on the participation of a CPC delegation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and covers a number of business meetings by CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban with CPC shareholders, partners and governors of CPC host regions.
The new issue of CPC Panorama contains a lot of very diverse information. The Thanks to CPC column talks about the operation of community facilities built using CPC’s funds, while the Professionals column tells the story of Victor Sutyagin, a veteran of the oil transportation industry. Roman Ignatyenko, a Kropotkin PS shift supervisor, reasons about subtleties of his labor of love - his article is associated with the coming Oilman Day.
And, as always,  readers are offered to take a look through the lens of history at pipeline construction experiences in various points of the globe and to see the world through the eyes of traveler colleagues. This time the story is about the famous Alaska oil pipeline and the marvelous Italy.
That is by no means all of the contents of the August CPC Panorama issue. A complete electronic version of the magazine can be found on the CPC web-site www.cpc.ru.
