CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

August Crude Lifting from CPC Marine Terminal

In August 2019, CPC Marine Terminal (MT) lifted 5,315,979  gross tons (42,068,662 barrels) of crude oil, 50  tankers were handled. August lifting schedule was completed in full.
As a note, 390 oil tankers were handled at the MT in January-August 2019, which took 41,517,615 gross tons of crude in their tanks.  
Out of the 5,315,979 tons lifted in August 2019, 2,265,721 tons of crude was from Tengiz field, 881,330 tons from Karachaganak field, 1,458,415 tons from Kashagan field and 148,447 tons from other Kazakhstani producers.
In August, the Kazakhstani producers shipped in total 4,753,913 tons of crude, and 562,066 tons of lifted crude was received from the Russian territory.
From 2001 through August 31, 2019,  624,124,576 net tons of crude oil were delivered to the world markets via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline system. 543,591,736 tons of that crude came from Kazakhstan and 80,532,843 tons of crude was produced in Russia.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
