The ceremony was also attended by shareholders of the international Consortium - representatives of the world's leading oil and gas companies.
During the event, the first open lecture on "Oil and Gas milestones of Victory" in the TEDx format was presented to honorary guests and students. The lecture was delivered by Niktita Golunov, Vice-rector for further education, head of the Department of engineering and operation of oil pipelines.
The renovation of the premises, which previously performed auxiliary functions, was carried out at the expense of CPC. Consortium spent almost 21 million rubles on repairs and providing the audience with multimedia equipment.
The Open lecture hall is located in the facade of the main building of the University. It has a separate entrance that allows participants to attend events without passing the registration of RSU.
At the same time, the Open lecture hall is connected with the Large Academic Audience, the refurbishment of which was also executed at the expense of charity funds of CPC.
The Large Academic Audience is one of the main streaming audiences of the University. Its renovation, equipment by the most modern standards and direct access to the Open lecture hall made the educational process more effective, provided new opportunities for teachers, and added comfort to both teachers and students.
It’s worth to remind that in 2015, the cooperation agreement between Caspian Pipeline Consortium and the Russian State Gubkin University of Oil and Gas has been signed. Nikolai Gorban, CPC General Director, is a member of the University's Board of Trustees. Many graduates of this industry-leading educational institution in Russia come to work in CPC, getting the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region.
