The Krasnodar Region Public Chamber announced the results of the Public Recognition annual award on 16 December 2020. A contest commission selected 15 award winners out of more than 50 contenders - industrial enterprises, public and non-commercial associations who work to provide charity, promote healthy life, and educate the younger generation in the Krasnodar Region.
Caspian Pipeline Consortium-R became a Public Recognition award winner. The oil pipeline company has been actively working together with the Krasnodar Region for over 20 years. A number of CPC-R industrial facilities are located in the region: the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline crosses eight districts where three oil pump stations are located, with the company's Marine Terminal and Tank Farm located in the village of Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka near Novorossiysk. CPC-R is one of the region’s major tax payers: its tax payments to budgets at various levels have amounted to over 8 billion rubles in 2020.
As a good corporate citizen, CPC-R actively implements charity projects in health care, eduction, culture, children’s sports, and infrastructure in its host districts in the region. In total, the company has invested over 2.3 billion rubles in social projects in the Krasnodar Region since the start of its operations.
In 2020, CPC-R has implemented 15 social projects for a total value of 208 million rubles in the region. In view of the epidemiological situation in this country and the region, health care support has become a priority for charity aid this year. 13 modern artificial lung respiration units, 10 ambulances, and laboratory equipment for the Krasnodar Children’s City Clinical Hospital have been purchased and delivered to the medics for a total value of 100 million rubles.
In addition, traditional charity programs have been continued in the Krasnodar Region in 2020: CPC to First-Graders, CPC to Talented Children, New-Year and X-mas Holidays with CPC. The total amount of investments into these programs has exceeded 30 million rubles in 2020.
The distribution of awards to the Public Recognition award winners is going to take place in January 2021.
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
