SPIEF-2021: Meeting between the heads of CPC and Siemens

20210603.jpgA meeting between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and German Conglomerate Siemens AG representatives headed by Thorbjorn Fors, Chief Executive Officer Distributed Generation and Oil & Gas was held on 3 June 2021, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021). The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Shmakov, General Manager, Operations, CPC, Igor Lisin, Technical Director, CPC, and Oleg Titov, President of Siemens Energetika LLC in Russia and Central Asia, Alexander Zolotukhin, Director of Integrated Service and Digital Solutions at Siemens Energetika LLC, and Ariel Porat, Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications in Europe.

For reference: the parties signed the 5-year gas turbine maintenance and spares supply agreement in 2019.

The German conglomerate and International Consortium started their close cooperation back at the Initial Construction stage of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system facilities. Their active interaction continued in the course of the CPC pipeline system Expansion Project implementation in 2010-2017.

Siemens AG Conglomerate operates in over 190 countries of the world in various spheres: electrical engineering, electronics, energy equipment, transport, medical equipment and lighting engineering, and also in provision of specialized services.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
