20210812.jpgA business meeting was held between Veniamin Kondratyev, Krasnodar Krai Governor, and Nikolay Gorban, General Director, Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

CPC General Director informed the Head of Kuban Administration of the emergency at the Company’s Marine Terminal: the oil seepage which had occurred on the 7th of August as a result of the destruction of the internal space of the hydraulic damper on the SPM was contained and eliminated, oil lifting was going in the standard mode as scheduled from the 8th of August. The Black Sea water area is being monitored, independent laboratories are engaged in checking the water and air condition.

According to the information from Krasnodar Krai Rospotrebnadzor and Regional Prosecutor’s Office on 11 August 2021, the samples of petroleum products in seawater at the oil spill location in Novorossiysk do not exceed the maximum admissible concentrations. The governmental regulatory authorities flew over the water surface and coast in the area of oil spill and westward of the stream, it was established that there were no signs of pollution, the water area was clean.

For his part, Veniamin Kondratyev pointed out that exhaustive actions should be taken to minimize possible damage to the coastal environment and residents.

In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed CPC interaction with the Krai Administration under the Agreement of intent in the field of investments, existing and future projects, including charity programs in the social sphere.
