The CPC Expansion Project provides for the CPC pipeline system capacity increase to 67 MMTA. This is the second stage of the oil pipeline construction that was initially laid down in the CPC Project feasibility study in 1998 with account of incremental volumes of crude oil production and supply from Kazakhstan and Russia.
CPC is of great importance for development of major oil fields in the Caspian region.
General management of the Expansion Project is carried out by the Consortium itself. However, control over fulfillment of specific types of work is distributed between the subsidiaries of Transneft, KazMunayGas, and Chevron.
