CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

Black Gold Route

Soon the Stavropol Krai can be regarded as a full-fledged oil region due to the commissioning of two CPC pump stations.

One of them is PS-4 and it is already put into operation in Ipatovo, the other one is PS-5 which will be commissioned in 2016 in the Izobilnensky District. Along with the commissioning of the other facilities of the system, this will provide pumping of about 70 million tons of oil per year via the oil pipeline. The construction of the facilities unique for the area started in June 2012 under CPC Expansion Phase II. In August 2015 the construction/installation work at PS-4 was completed, allowing to proceed with startup/commissioning. In December 2015 PS-4 underwent successfully comprehensive testing.

According to CPC-R General Director Nikolay Brunich, who has arrived to attend the opening ceremony, PS-4, by its process purpose, is an interim pump station without process tanks, but with a pig launcher/receiver for pipeline cleaning and diagnostics. The main facilities of PS, located at KP 1031 of Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, include mainline pump station, mud traps, pressure surge system, operator building, fire pump station, administrative building, treatment facilities etc.

- The pump station will not increase the capacity, but will maintain hydraulic characteristics, thus enhancing reliability of the entire system performance, - Nikolay Brunich said. – It cost RUR 2.5 billion, we did not exceed the planned budget, there is no overspending. I hope that after the PS startup our Company will acquire labor dynasties, because the design service life of PS-4 is 50 years minimum. The current CPC throughput is 52 million tons of oil per year. Upon Expansion completion, the design throughput, without DRA, will be 67 million tons per year, pumping with DRA will provide almost 80 million tons.

- Certainly, opening of PS-4 is a remarkable event for us, because our region is commonly believed to be a breadbasket and health resort, but at the same time, due to opening of such hi-tech enterprises, the Stavropol Krai is becoming an industrial center, - underscored the Minister for Energy, Industry and Communication of the Stavropol Krai Vitaly Khotsenko. – The PS-4 commissioning will cause an increase in the tax deductions to the budget, create new jobs (local residents have a priority). Not to mention numerous social programs, which CPC implements in the Stavropol Krai. Thank you to the Company for its attention not only to industrial, but also social development of the region.

After the PS-4 opening ceremony the CPC Management handed over 2 school buses, as a gift, to the Ipatovo District educational institutions. In the nearest future, the Company will provide 11 similar school buses to three more districts of the Stavropol Krai.

The Stavropol Krai Government and CPC executed this year a supplementary agreement to the Cooperation Agreement regarding the implementation of social projects in the Stavropol Krai. The agreement stipulates additional CPC social charity contributions in the amount of RUR 145 million. The total Company social investments, since the start of its business in the Stavropol Krai, have exceeded RUR 400 million and will be continued.

- We are not going to terminate the Stavropol social program, - assured Nikolay Brunich. – We have achieved a high level of mutual understanding with the regional authorities, we resolve promptly all arising issues. With the support of the regional and district authorities, the most favorable conditions are created in the Stavropol Krai for operation and implementation of big investment projects. The Stavropol Krai Government can always count on the CPC support.
