CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban Was Awarded Medal of the Order of Merit for Astrakhan Oblast

Astrakhan Oblast Governor Alexander Zhilkin awarded CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban with the Medal of the Order of Merit for Astrakhan Oblast. The ceremony was held on December 7, 2017 in the Oblast Administration. 
The Medal of the Order of Merit for Astrakhan Oblast is a decoration for achievement of high performance results in professional activities, other public significant merits contributing to development and prosperity of Astrakhan Oblast.
In the presence of the colleagues, the Region Head thanked Nikolay Gorban for energetic efforts contributing to strengthening of Astrakhan Oblast economic potential, high professional level and personal input in ensuring safe and accident-free operation of CPC Facilities in the Region, and constructive approach to resolution of issues of social sphere development.
Cooperation between the international Consortium and Astrakhan Oblast has amounted to 20 years, during which CPC, in addition to ensuring efficient operation of its facilities, has been providing active support to social projects in such spheres as culture, education, health care, public transport, sports and also implements programs to aid the most vulnerable population.
In February this year a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Consortium and the Region. The document is aimed at further development of cooperation in both CPC core business and social partnership. - Cooperation in those main aspects between the Consortium and Oblast will remain a priority in the future, as well, - CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban assured after the ceremony of award.
In 1998-2017 the Consortium invested in the charity projects on the territory of Astrakhan Oblast over 928 million Rubles.
In 2017, two new Pump Stations - A-PS-4A and A-PS-5A were put into operation. That event completed the Consortium’s Expansion Project implementation in Astrakhan Oblast. 
As part of its obligations in the social sphere, CPC has invested during this year over 320 M Rubles in 10 various projects in the Oblast.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
