CPC third in the Leaders of Corporate Charity ecology competition

CPC's environmental awareness project “Save the Native Land’s Nature” has been recognized one of the best in the nomination “Best program promoting sustainable development in ecology”. Following this year's round of the “Leaders of Corporate Charity” competition, its overall 12th, the Consortium came third in this nomination among the country's largest companies representing all leading sectors of the economy and received a commemorative prize. CPC has been implementing the “Save the Native Land’s Nature” Program since 2014 in Republic of Kalmykia, Stavropolsky Krai and Astrakhanskaya Oblast. The Program’s target is protecting populations of rare wildlife, sturgeons and endangered plants.
The concept of sustainable development was proposed by UN and involves goals that support harmonious development of the human being, resolution of economic and political problems, preservation of the planet for posterity. Leading Russian companies are not only delivering various charitable initiatives in this area, but are also continuously improving their practices, adopting innovations, modernizing operations, developing new products and enhancing social policies.
Based on the competition organizers’ data, in 2019 members of this ranking dedicated 57,4 billion rubles to corporate philanthropy. This was Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s first run in this competition and it placed 23 among 40 entrants rated. It is the highest all-time result for an inaugural effort by a company in this ranking. This achievement by the Consortium was also recognized with a special award “For the contribution to development of philanthropy, community investment and the Project debut”.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
