Family-type children village under construction in the Atyrau Region, Republic of Kazakhstan

Within the framework of its charity activities, CPC-K provides support for construction of a family-type village for parentless children. Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Deputy General Director, RK Government Relations, CPC-K familiarized himself with the progress of this socially important facility construction.
The family-type village is being built in the Talgairan settlement (suburb of the Atyrau city) covering a total area over three hectares on a picturesque bank of the Ural river.  The project implemented under the Agreement between CPC-K and the Atyrau Region Akimat provides for erection of eight two-storey residential houses, administration building, sports complex, boiler house, checkpoint and other amenity structures. Construction is done by a contractor.
Each house here is designed to accommodate eight-nine children from three to 18 years old together with a “mama”, that is the name given by the children to a tutor who is always with them. Four houses of eight will be furnished to accommodate disabled children.
The cultural/sports complex will host mass events, competitions and training sessions. Classes there can be conducted in cold weather as well. Summer sports ground is also provided for.
In the territory of the children village there will be medical facilities with toilets: doctor, dressing and vaccination rooms, medicine storage room and other required premises.
To ensure proper living and learning conditions, provision is also made for a sewing shop, psychologist room, relaxation room, shower cabins and bathhouse.
- Our main requirement for contractors is to provide high quality of construction, - noted Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Deputy General Director, RK Government Relations, CPC-K when visiting the site of the future children village. -  Regretfully, due to the pandemic, commissioning of the facility is postponed to the next year. Thereafter, all necessary conditions for comfortable living will be created in the children village. The Agreement between CPC-K and the Atyrau Region Akimat contains an approved list of social facilities: construction of a family-type children village and construction of an youth center.
Upon completion of the children village construction, the residents of the existing similar institution “Shanyrak” will move in here. 57 children live now in the Geolog settlement (suburb of the Atyrau city) occupying six old buildings. Owing to the CPC-K support, all of them will be living in new comfortable, cozy houses with developed infrastructure.
