CPC-K Supplied Medical Equipment for Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities to Doctors of Atyrau

On October 22, specialized rehabilitation equipment for the total value of KZT 22 million (USD 52,000) purchased under the charity program of Caspian Pipeline Consortium was handed over to the medical center “Zhuldyztai” in Atyrau. The ceremony was attended by Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CPC-K Deputy General Director, RoK Government Relations.
The medical rehabilitation center “Zhuldyztai” has been working in Atyrau on the basis of municipal outpatient clinic No. 7 since 2018. Over 350 children with disabilities undergo rehabilitation in the center every year.  These are mainly children with cerebral palsy (69%), as well as with other diseases and disorders.
The medical equipment purchased by CPC includes simulators improving speech functions and restoring the musculoskeletal system.  The speech therapy 5-channel training complex "BOS" of Russian manufacture is intended for improvement and correction of speech functions from four years old by the method of biofeedback. The unique appliance registers and processes simultaneously the signals of heart and respiratory rates. By setting correct breathing, speech disorders, including stuttering, are quickly and effectively remedied.
Another Russian-made medical complex with the functions of biofeedback (BFB), muscle stimulation (FES) and patient weight unloading is intended for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with pathology of the musculoskeletal system. The complex modification is designed to train walking and restore the rhythm and temporal structure of a step cycle, improve the automatism of muscle work and support ability of lower extremities. Together with recovery training with the use of BFB and FES methods, it is possible to conduct a clinical analysis of the biomechanics of movements and register EMG response.
The Zhuldyzai Chief Physician Asel Kazieva expressed her gratitude to CPC for the equipment, which is important for rehabilitation of children with disabilities and their integration into modern society.
