Transneft-Service Commenced Performance Under the Contract For CPC Marine Terminal Services

20210317-1.jpgOn 16 March 2021 at 12:00 a.m. Transneft-Service commenced to perform a range of services at CPC Marine Terminal. In accordance with the schedule, on 17 March 2021, the Sonangol Rangel tanker became the first vessel to be loaded with the support of the Consortium’s contractor. The SCF Samotlor became the second loaded tanker.

The day before, Transneft-Service deployed its fleet of 17 unit in the Marine Terminal small boat shelter in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka, replacing the vessels of the previous contractor - Lamnalco LLC.

As a reminder, in 2019, in view of the contract term expiry, in accordance with CPC procedures, a tender was conducted, Transneft-Service, Transneft’s subsidiary, becoming its winner.

In the freight forwarding services, the company provides its clients with a full range of services on transportation and transshipment of oil and oil products for export via the ports of Novorossiysk, Makhachkala, Kozmino, Primorsk and Ust’-Luga.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
