CPC 25th Anniversary Will Be Marked by a Panel Session at the 14th Kazenergy Eurasian Forum

October 04 through 08, the XIV Kazenergy Eurasian Forum and the 2021 World Energy Week will take place in Kazakhstan. The events organized by the Kazenergy Association and the World Energy Council and supported by the Kazakhstan Government will be attended by key industry players from Kazakhstan, Russia, CIS and non-CIS states, Caspian Pipeline Consortium being among them.

The year 2021 marks an anniversary of Kazakhstan independence, and is also a 25-year milestone since Caspian Pipeline Consortium signed the Shareholders Agreement that inaugurated the Company’s establishment in its present form. The agenda of the upcoming Kazenergy Eurasian forum includes a panel session on October 07 entitled ‘CPC as the principal export route for Kazakhstan’.

The panel session will be attended by Mazgum Mirzagaliev, the RoK Minister of Energy, Daniyar Berlibayev, Chief Oil Transportation, International Projects and Saryarka Pipeline Construction Officer, Kevin Lyon, General Director of TengizChevrOil LLP, Kuanysh Kudaibergenov, KPO Vice General Director, Yermek Marabayev Deputy Managing Director of NCOC, Nikolai Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CPC-K Deputy General Director for Kazakhstan Government Relations.

As of today, CPC is the largest international oil transport project involving Kazakhstan, Russia and global leading oil producing companies. The share of CPC being the principal export route for Kazakhstan oil accounts for over 80% of volume pumped. The Company’s regional representative office is one of the key investors making a significant contribution to the Kazakh economy.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
