Construction of Children and Youth’s Cultural & Aesthetic Center Starts in Astrakhan Oblast

A groundbreaking ceremony with a commemorative plaque symbolizing the start of construction of the Children and Youth’s Cultural & Aesthetic Center was held on 18 July 2023 in Enotaevka Village, Astrakhan Oblast.

Nikolai Gorban, CPC General Director, and Igor Babushkin, Astrakhan Oblast Governor, affixed the plaque.

The standard construction period for a facility of this type is about 1.5 years. As per the design, the Cultural & Aesthetic Center is a two-story building. Inside the building with an area of more than 1.7 thousand sq. m will be divided into several functional groups, where rooms for group and individual creative classes and administrative offices will be located. In addition, the Center's auditorium will be able to accommodate 100 spectators.

Putting the Center into operation will allow not only to create comfortable conditions for additional education of children and youth, but also to attract young teachers by opening new areas of training.

The cost of the construction paid out of CPC charity funds will amount to 196 million rubles.

The history of cooperation between the Consortium and Astrakhan Oblast Administration goes back more than two decades. In early 2023, CPC supplied the latest CT scanner worth almost 60 million rubles to Alexandro-Mariinsky Oblast clinical hospital. The material base of the Astrakhan Regional Social Rehabilitation Center "Rus" was strengthened with modern equipment to the amount of about 20 million rubles.
