On October 10, 2017, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban participated in the meeting of the Editorial Board of scientific journals “Science and technologies of pipeline transport of oil and petroleum products” and Pipeline Science and Technology held in NII Transneft Moscow Office.
The journal Editorial Board consists of 36 persons from 15 countries. The Editorial Board members include two Academicians (Russian Academy of Sciences and Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 29 doctors of science and 4 candidates of science. Nikolay Gorban is a member of the Editorial Board together with other 11 Russian specialists and research workers.
NII Transneft, Transneft’s affiliate, has been issuing the scientific and engineering journal “Science and technologies of pipeline transport of oil and petroleum products since 2011. The journal specializes on covering the scientific research deliverables, today’s operation task solutions, achievements of national and foreign science and technology in the sphere of engineering, construction and operation of crude pipelines and petroleum product pipelines,
In 2017, NII Transneft together with the British Publishing House, Technical Productions Ltd., proceeded to issuance of the international scientific journal - Pipeline Science and Technology. The journal is distributed in 72 countries, at the international exhibitions and conferences and directly to the discipline specialists, companies and entities.
It is important to note that in its operation business, Caspian Pipeline Consortium applies the most advanced technologies available in its Shareholder Companies, representing various countries. CPC specialists share their experience on a regular basis in the journals “Science and technologies of pipeline transport of oil and petroleum products” and Pipeline Science and Technology.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region.
