20181206.jpgA ceremony to hand over the anniversary fifth award “Person of the Year” was held on December 5, 2018, in Astrakhan Theater of Opera and Ballet with participation of Astrakhan Oblast Governor Sergey Morozov. State-owned TV company Lotos recognizes with this award representatives of business, culture, sports, mass media, who have made a sizable contribution to the Region's life, made landmark achievements in various spheres and become principal characters of TV spots throughout the year. In the “Benefactor of the Year” nomination, Lotos recognized Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s activity.

CPC allocated over 450 M Rubles towards charity purposes in 2017-2018. Those funds were used in Astrakhan Oblast to construct three kindergartens (in the settlements of Kharabali, Baybek and Starokucherganovka), purchase medical equipment, ambulances, school buses, execute a number of large-scale social programs.

Other important projects of 2018 include the following: purchase of a unique angiographc X-ray unit for Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital, transfer of a Scania Irizar bus to Astrakhan State Song and Dance Ensemble for arrangement of inter-regional and international tours, implementation of the environmental and education project “Let’s Save Our Country’s Environment!”.

The CPC to Gifted Children Festival became a vibrant cultural event, with about 400 talented children representing almost 20 Oblast settlements participating in its regional stage. Fifty winners and laureates of the contest in various arts nominations were granted an opportunity of performing in the final gala concert in Moscow.

The history of CPC cooperation with Astrakhan Oblast began in 1998. Over 20 years of interaction with the Region Administration, the Consortium has invested about one billion Rubles in the charity projects and programs.

For reference.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
