On 6 October 2021, Nikolay Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, met with Magzum Mirzagaliev, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the 14th Kazenergy Eurasian Forum in Nur-Sultan.
Mr. Gorban and Mr. Mirzagaliev discussed a wide range of issues related to the current state and prospects for development of the oil and gas industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan and CPC preliminary performance results in 2021.
“CPC is a strategic project that has a continuous positive effect on our cooperation and promotes collaboration between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan,” noted Magzum Mirzagaliev.
“This year CPC celebrates 25 years since the signing of the Shareholders Agreement. This document founded the Consortium the way it stands now. Today, CPC is the main export route for Kazakhstan oil and an example of successful international cooperation in the energy field between Kazakhstan, Russia and major international oil companies,” pointed out Nikolay Gorban. In the light of the anniversary celebrated in 2021, Nikolay Gorban presented Magzum Mirzagaliev a “CPC 25 Years” medal.
Please note that Caspian Pipeline Consortium is the main oil pipeline in Kazakhstan. Every year, two-thirds of Kazakhstan oil is shipped through the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
