LUKOIL TO SHIP THE 25 MILLIONTH TON OF CRUDE OIL THROUGH CPC PIPELINE

20211220-02.jpgOn December 15, 2021, the 25 millionth ton of crude oil (gross) shipped by LLC Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft through CPC-R Marine Terminal was lifted to the tanker ISE PRINCESS.

As a hallmark, this milestone shipment took place during the year of the 25-th anniversary of Caspian Pipeline Consortium and the 30-th anniversary of PJSC LUKOIL.

LUKOIL has been shipping crude oil to CPC Crude Oil Pipeline System effective October 1, 2016. The crude oil from the offshore Filanovsky field (located in the Caspian Sea, 190 km from Astrakhan) is shipped via the subsea pipeline to the PJSC LUKOIL tank farm. Then the crude is injected to Komsomolskaya PS metering skids in the Republic of Kalmykia and delivered into Tengiz-Novorossiysk Crude Oil Pipeline for further transportation for export as part of CPC Blend.

Komsomolskaya PS receiving PJSC LUKOIL crude oil is currently undergoing another round of upgrade. In 2014, the pump station saw a robust upgrade as part of CPC Crude Oil Pipeline Expansion Project. Currently, this PS is undergoing upgrade of Surge Relief System Site, Mainline Pump House, Auxiliary Structures as part of Debottlenecking Program (DBNP).

For information:

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
