On 24-30 April, CPC-R employees together with
their families participated in the annual environmental project called Clean
Bank and planted 1,500 trees.CPC Eastern Region staff contributes annually
into nature protection in Atyrau Oblast conducting an environmental campaign -
Clean Bank. As part of the campaign, they clean the the bank of the Ural River,
collect garbage separately and remove it
to the landfill. This year, the Consortium included landscaping in the program:
the ER employees and their family members planted a total of 1,500 trees,
including 300 at the Tengiz PS and 400 saplings each at the Kurmangazy and
Isatai PSs.
On 29 April, it was the turn of the Atyrau PS.
The cleanup was held in a team-building format, with Management greetings,
catering, and invited press. The Eastern Region employees and contractors,
members of their families planted 400 ash and elm saplings.
“The objective of the campaign is to engage
children and their parents in improving the quality of environmental situation
in the Region, cohesion between partners, families in a common cause, fostering
in children a respectful attitude to nature”, noted Mukhit Mazhenov, Eastern
Region Manager, who participated in the cleanup.
Environmental protection is one of the priority
tasks in CPC business. The Company strictly follows the HSE Policy.
“I participated in out campaign “Clean Bank”
together with my wife, daughter and son”, says Asylbek Berdikozhin, Deputy
Atyrau PS Manager. - In addition to landscaping and cleaning the area, I showed
the children our facilities and equipment located in the station area on a
mock-up. In general, the children have a lot of emotions and positive
impressions. They also saw specialized vehicles used at CPC facilities: truck
cranes, ambulances, fire trucks. Of course, for safety reasons, the equipment
was turned off. Each employee participating in the cleanup told their children
about the objective of the campaign; that the environmental protection is
important and it is necessary to take care of the environment”.

CPC Pipeline
System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with
