CPC Participated in River Marathon

20230601-1.jpgOn 31 May 2023, an environmental campaign was held in Glebovka Rural Okrug as part of the national project "River Marathon," aimed at involving citizens in activities to protect the river fund of their region.

This year, representatives of Novorossiysk environmental community initiated the inclusion in this project of the Ozereyka River, which originates on the slope of Mount Gudzeva and flows 16 km through the territory of Glebovka Okrug to the place where it flows into the Black Sea. CPC fervently supported the initiative of residents and activists.

Eco-campaign participants, 20 of them representing CPC led by Alexey Pelipenko, Marine Terminal Regional Manager, split into three groups. The first group was gathering garbage near the bridge across the river on Sputnika street, the second one moved along the riverbed toward the sea, while the third group moved in the opposite direction. The effectiveness of the campaign participants was appreciated by both local residents and representatives of the local administration: a lot of old car tires, a considerable amount of household garbage, planks, twigs and dry trees were raised from the bottom. Using tools and special equipment, volunteers collected and removed the tractor trailer and dumpster filled with garbage.

It is worth recalling that a month ago CPC Marine Terminal staff actively participated in another All-Russian Green Spring Environmental Campaign held in all Russian Federation entities. On 28 April, the operation Company’s personnel cleaned the coastline from the beach of Yuzhnaya Ozereevka village to the Marine Terminal Shore facilities from debris brought by winter storms.
