8500th Tanker Loaded at CPC Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk

On 3 April 2024, the 8500th tanker since the commencement of operation of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system was processed at CPC Marine Terminal (MT) in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka.  The oil tanker was loaded at the second Single Point Mooring (SPM-2). The NISSOS SIKINOS has become a milestone tanker.
It should be noted that the total amount of CPC Blend grade oil transported through the Consortium's pipeline as of the beginning of April 2024 was over 900,000,000 tons. At the same time, the share of shippers from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan accounted for 791,689,626 tons of oil: about 454.3 million tons from the Tengiz field, 173.4 million tons from the Karachaganak field, 100.5 million tons from the Kashagan field and others.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
