The results of implementation of the environmental and educational project “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” in the Republic of Kalmykia in 2024 were summarized on 18 October in Elista. The Project that in being implemented by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and traditionally pays particular attention to the education of environmental consciousness in the younger generation.
The ceremony of the Project completion was held in the Kalmyk State Puppet Theater. In addition to CPC-R’s representatives, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kalmykia, Heads of the Directorate of specially protected natural territories and Natural Biosphere Reserve "Blackland” participated in the event. In 2024, the Consortium purchased an excavator-loader, energy equipment and special clothing for the reserve, and provided 20 educational institutions of the Republic with drinking water treatment systems. The Company’s investments in the environmental project in Kalmykia in 2024 amounted to about ten million rubles.
The event included the awarding of winners and prize-winners of the creative contest “We will save the planet together”. Performances by ethnic music groups enhanced the festive atmosphere of the jubilee ceremony of the completion of the annual environmental project “Protect Nature of Our Native Land” in the Republic.
