On a solid foundation of strict compliance with all norms of Russian and Kazakh legislation, CPC in its work is guided by stringent standards of industrial and environmental safety, undertakes enhanced social commitments towards its personnel, guarantees decent compensation to employees of numerous contractors, and, in addition, provides financial support for the development of infrastructure in settlements and towns nearby the pipeline route, implements a lot of educational, sports and cultural programs for local residents and renders aid to socially disadvantaged categories of population.

For our company a special approach to HSE issues is an important component of social responsibility. State-of-the-art industry technologies and highly reliable equipment were used for construction of the CPC oil pipeline system. Crude oil transportation and lifting operations are administered in accordance with international environmental and safety standards. The effectiveness and efficiency of CPC management system is regularly audited by independent and recognized experts. Caspian Pipeline Consortium confirms on an ongoing basis the validity of its certificates for three key international standards: ISO 9001:2008 - Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 - Enterprise Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 - Health and Safety Management System.

CPC charitable aid supports socially significant spheres of society and humanitarian development of human capital in the regions along the pipeline route. The consortium has been implementing such programs since the first years of its operation in Russia and Kazakhstan. The Company provides regular targeted assistance to the least socially protected groups of population, implements numerous projects to support and develop education, health care, social sphere, as well as infrastructure of towns and villages located where the trunk oil pipeline runs. The main criteria for implementation of social programs carried out in strict compliance with the current legislation of Russia and Kazakhstan are targeting, transparency and rigorous control. An important part of the Consortium's work is building close cooperation with administrations in the regions where it operates, which enables to plan activities effectively and provide real help to those in need.

From 1998 to 2022, the amount of CPC-R charitable investments in the regions of its presence (Astrakhan Oblast, the Republic of Kalmykia, Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai, city of Novorossiysk) exceeded 5 billion rubles. During the same period, CPC-K invested about 11 billion tenge (more than 25 million U.S. dollars) in the social development of the Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ​
