Caspian Pipeline Consortium certified per international environmental standard

​Certification audit of the Environmental Management System (EMS) by the world renowned certifying entity, BSI Management Systems, has successfully been completed. It confirmed the compliance of the CPC developed and introduced EMS governing the operations of all its divisions per international environmental ISO 14001:2004 and awarded a Certificate.

“We are pleased that CPC as a company that decided to work per the highest world standards since its inception received a formal recognition in such an important area as environmental protection”, said CPC General Director V.Y. Razdukhov. “The CPC developed and introduced Environmental Management System lays a reliable foundation for competitive, effective and safe operations of the CPC crude oil pipeline system for its entire lifetime. We regard it as a natural way for developing a modern enterprise in the 21st century.”

“We advise government authorities, public and CPC staff that while planning, implementing, maintaining and constantly improving the EMS, CPC manages its environmental good performance, improves environmental culture of its operations, assures environmental responsibility of each employee on his/her work place and CPC environmental safety in accordance with the declared CPC HSE Policy”, stated the EMS management representative D. Fahy, CPC First Deputy General Director, Operations.”

Today, the environmental component of any company’s operations may have serious influence on business success as a whole. Certification with a prestigious international entity is the sole instrument of independent verification of Management System introduced. Successful certification audit of the Environmental Management System per ISO 14001:2004 indicates that CPC has high level control over the most significant environmental risks and demonstrates to all interested parties its assurance that the company manages environmental protection in accordance with the best international practices, said BSI Management Systems CIS Director E. Shipilov.
