On 5-6 November 2014 CPC General Director N.G. Brunich visited Expansion Phase 1 construction sites in Kazakhstan - the Atyrau and Tengiz pump stations. In the course of his inspection he noted significant progress in construction and installation, approved actions of all parties involved in the construction process, and also received an update on the commissioning schedule for the facilities.
During October 27-29, 2014, Caspian Pipeline Consortium let go 280,000 juvenile fishes of the Black-Sea salmon under the program of artificial reproduction of biological water resources. The spawn were released into the Mzytma River and its tributaries near Monastyr Village, within Sochi National Park.
The Head of Caspian Pipeline Consortium took part in the ceremony of consecrating the foundation stone of the Marine Cathedral in honor of the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker which was held on 24 October in Novorossiysk. The consecration liturgy was performed by His Holiness Kirill Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
On October 22, crude oil transportation by Tengiz-Novorossiysk Pipeline was fully shut down for 72 hours to carry out scheduled work on repair and replacement of block valves, current pipeline maintenance and connection of new facilities under the project of increasing the pipeline capacity.
