CPC Wins Oil Terminal-2015 International Grand Prix

The CPC Marine Terminal has been awarded the Grand Prix of the International Competition “Oil Terminal 2015”. The award ceremony took place as part of the 10th Congress on Crude oil, LPG and Petroleum products Trading and Transportation – Oil Terminal 2015, held on 26-27 November in St. Petersburg.
As announced at the award ceremony, the Grand prix is awarded to a crude / oil products terminal which acts as the industry’s model in terms of overall performance. This terminal sets the benchmark for all other industry players in the market.
The Russian nomination “Personal Contribution to Industry Development” has been awarded to CPC-R General Director Nikolay Brunich. This award is given to those executives who use their experience, knowledge, ambition, firmness and influence to lead their organization to new achievements, new quality of development and operations.
The consortium’s terminal has been working like a finely tuned mechanism since the start of pipeline operations. Built with modern technologies and equipment, it has been a prize winner of the International Oil Terminal Award three times in the nominations “Best Process Equipment”, “Reliable Partner” and “Sustainability”. The award is created to recognize achievements of oil terminals in Russia, CIS and Western Europe in various performance areas. An award ceremony is held every three years.
CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
