CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

GD and Atyryau Regin Akim meeting

On April 6, 2017, Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, met with Nurlan Nogaev, Atyrau Region Akim, in Almaty in Kazakhstan. The parties discussed matters related to the development of cooperation between CPC and the region. It was stated that CPC’s activities in the Atyrau Region were considerably strengthening the latter’s financial and economic potential, promoting social stability and increasing the welfare of the population of the region.
As a reminder, in December, 2016, CPC had signed a new five-year Cooperation Agreement with the Akim’s Office used as a framework for continuing to actively implement large-scale social programs in districts crossed by the Tengiz-Novorossiysk mainline oil pipeline and the provision of sponsorship and charity aid.
According to the signed document, actions are being implemented in support of education, health care, physical fitness and sports, culture, ecology, and also to provide targeted help to socially vulnerable segments of the population.  
Since 2011, the amount of the sponsorship and charity assistance provided to the Atyrau Region  has totaled about 35 million US dollars.
CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.

N.V. - 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1.75%.
