Kindergarten Built in Baibek Village, Astrakhan Region with CPC Participation

On 25 August 2017, a ceremony was held in Baibek village, Krasnoyarsky District, Astrakhan Region to commission a new kindergarten for 60 children, which was built with CPC financial support.
A symbolic ribbon was cut by Consortium General Director Nikolay Gorban and Astrakhan Region Governor Alexander Zhilkin. The opening ceremony was attended by CPC-R Deputy General Director Mikhail Grishankov, Deputy Chairman of the Astrakhan Region Government – Minister for Industry, Transport and Natural Resources Radik Kharisov, Astrakhan Region Minister for Education and Science Vitaly Gutman, as well as future pupils and their parents.
Construction of the facility of about RUR 70 million total cost started in September 2016. A two-storey building was erected within eight months and required service lines were provided: cold and hot water supply, sewerage, heating and ventilation, power equipment, electric lighting, fire alarm and process equipment.
The kindergarten has an individual package boiler house with backup power source, sanitary ware, all necessary furniture and tableware, equipment for kitchen and laundry. Besides, CPC funded landscaping of the adjacent territory – planting of vegetation, installation of pavilions and play equipment. Total area of the facility is 1171.7 sq m.
The pre-school institution was constructed pursuant to the Company charity policy and social partnership with the Region. It should be recalled that in August 2015 the Astrakhan Region and the Company signed a Supplementary Cooperation Agreement, allocating extra RUR 145 million for construction of social projects in the areas of CPC Expansion Project. On 9 February 2017, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Astrakhan Region Governor Alexander Zhilkin signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the Consortium and the Region. Among priorities of the Agreement is successful completion of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline system Expansion Project, provision of its uninterrupted and accident-free operation, further development and efficiency enhancement of industrial, transport and other sectors of the Astrakhan Region economy and Consortium facilities.

CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital in the CIS. The length of the pipeline connecting oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker loading at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
