CPC to First-Graders

Caspian Pipeline Consortium continues its “CPC to First-Graders” charity program.
Nearly 10.5 thousand first-year schoolchildren in Astrakhan Oblast, Republic of Kalmykia, Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai and Novorossiysk received CPC presents: schoolbags with a full set of school stationery. First-graders-to-be received their presents on the eve of September 1, while in certain districts the schoolbags will be presented at the Knowledge Day ceremonies.
It should be noted that this campaign has been covering all Russian regions along the pipeline route since 2009. Traditionally active participants of the campaign are heads of regional administrations, relevant ministries and CPC regional representatives.
CPC presents are intended for schoolchildren from underprivileged and large families, orphanages, charity institutions and remedial schools, as well as handicapped children. This year, the Consortium allocated approximately RUR 27 mln for the “CPC to First-Graders” charity program.
For reference:
The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
