CPC Hands over New School Buses to Kuban Education Institutions

On 21 December 2017, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban handed over 10 specialized school buses to Krasnodar Krai schools under the CPC charity program. The ceremony was attended by CPC-R Deputy General Director for RF Government Relations Mikhail Grishankov, Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar Krai Anna Minkova, heads of the Krai municipal entities and headmasters of schools.
The buses are equipped with GLONASS navigation system, overspeed limiters, external loudspeakers, digital tachographs, emergency alarms and other safety equipment. The cost of the motor vehicles procured with the CPC funds amounts to RUR 19.2 million. 
Three buses went to the Krymsky District schools, two – education institutions of the Kavkazsky District, the Abinsky, Dinsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Tbilissky and Ust-Labinsky Districts got one bus each.  
- Over many years, Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been in close interaction with the Krasnodar Krai Administration covering many social areas and improving people's quality of life. We are happy that the CPC-purchased buses would create comfortable conditions for the Kuban schoolchildren. It would not only be easier for them to get from home to school, but they would also be provided with the opportunity to take an active part  in various educational, cultural and sports events within and outside their native districts, – stressed Nikolay Gorban.
All in all, in 2017 CPC implemented in the Krai 11 social projects and programs to the total amount of more than RUR 200 million, and throughtout the CPC/Krasnodar Krai cooperation, the Consortium has allocated about RUR 1.5 billion to the region for various charity purposes.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the pipeline connecting oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal in Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC’s Marine Terminal is equipped with Single Point Moorings that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, including bad weather conditions.
