CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

New Kindergarten Opened in Kharabali, Astrakhan Oblast

On January 25, 2018, a new 70-seat kindergarten, which construction was financed by Caspian Pipeline Consortium, was opened in Kharabali, Astrakhan Oblast.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mikhail Grishankov, Deputy General Director of CPC-R, Alexander Zhilkin, Astrakhan Region Governor, Radik Kharisov, Deputy Chairman of the Astrakhan Regional Government, Minister of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources of Astrakhan Oblast, Vitaly Gutman, Minister of Education and Science of Astrakhan Oblast, Alexey Stonda, Head of Kharabalinsky District Administration, future kindergartners and their parents.
The preschool institution “Kiddie” was constructed under the CPC charity program. The two-storied building, 1,500 sq.m., has all necessary equipment and furniture, including everything required for the cooking room and laundry. There is also play and sport areas and an event hall. The territory around the building has been landscaped. The total project cost amounted to almost 69 million rubles.
“Support to education and children in the regions of CPC presence is an important component of CPC social policy”, stated Mikhail Grishankov. “Maybe in future these kindergartners will become CPC employees. Let them now make their first discoveries, gain new skills, knowledge and friends in comfortable conditions and homelike atmosphere”.
Please be reminded that in Astrakhan Oblast two more kindergartens were opened with CPC assistance in the villages of Starokucherganovka, Narimanovsky district, and Baibek, Krasnoyarsky district. These newly constructed kindergartens will accommodate up to 200 children. In 2017, CPC implemented 11 charity projects and programs for the total amount of more than 272 million rubles in Astrakhan Oblast.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of the pipeline connecting oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal in Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC’s Marine Terminal is equipped with Single Point Moorings that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, including bad weather conditions.
