CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

CPC Committee Reviewed Regions’ Requests for Charity Projects

At its meeting on March 30th chaired by General Director N. Gorban, Caspian Pipeline Consortium Charity Committee reviewed and approved the requests received from the Republic of Kalmykia, Astrakhan Oblast and Novorossiysk Administration for charity aid in 2018.
In particular, the requests were approved for allocation of funds to purchase 7 ambulances for the Republic of Kalmykia health care institutions and 10 ambulances for Astrakhan Oblast medical institutions, acquisition of buses for intercity transportation of children sports schools and Rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in the Republic of Kalmykia.
In 2018 CPC buys sports equipment and gear for the recreational and educational center Nadezhda in Novorossiysk, and two state-of-the-art X-ray units will be delivered to the medical institutions of the Hero-city.
The total funds allocated by the Consortium just for the aforesaid charity projects will amount to approximately 100 million Rubles. CPC Charity Committee will soon review the requests from Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, as well. Education, health care, physical training and sports, environmental protection, aid to the most vulnerable population will become the key spheres of targeted social support in 2018.
As a reminder, in 2017 CPC-R implemented 51 charity projects, financed from both CPC Base Business budget, and funds allocated to the Expansion Project financing. The total funds for the social support in the Regions in 2017 amounted to 806 million Rubles. Social responsibility remains one of the priorities of the Consortium ensuring comprehensive interaction between CPC and the regions of its presence.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
