CPC Partner Tengizchevroil Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

On April 4, 2018, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, took part in the festive functions dedicated to Tengizchevroil (TCO) 25th anniversary. CPC Deputy General Directors Mikhail Grishankov and Kairgeldy Kabyldin were also on CPC delegation.
TCO is one of the lead oil companies in Kazakhstan: in 2017, it produced 28,7 M tons of crude oil, which became not just the highest result in the entire history of TCO, but, at the same time, a record for the entire Kazakhstani oil market.

A meeting of CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov was held during the festive function. As a reminder: LUKARCO B.V. is a member of Lukoil’s companies and a CPC Shareholder holding 12.5% of shares. The parties discussed crude oil transportation from Lukoil’s Caspian offshore fields. As per preliminary nominations, about 7 M tons of crude oil produced by the Russian companies are to be pumped through the Consortium’s pipeline system in 2018.  Up to 5 M tons of crude oil are to be transported from Lukoil’s Filanovsky and Korchagin fields.
CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban also had conversation with Atyrau Akim Serik Shapkenov. The Consortium’s Head and City Manager discussed the cooperation in implementation of the Consortium’s large-scale charity programs.

CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
