CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

On 17 May 2018, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Deputy General Director for RK Government Relations Kairgeldy Kabyldin took part in the Astana Economic Forum (AEF) Global Challenges Summit.
At the plenary session, the head of CPC made a report “Development strategy of oil/gas business in the era of clean energy”, where he elaborated on the operating experience and specifics of the international consortium, comprising, as its shareholders, the major world oil companies, provision of reliable operation of the CPC oil transportation system, industrial and environment safety improvement measures, introduction of energy-saving technologies.
This year, AEF is held for the 11th time. The event gathers world leaders, lead international experts, scientists, political and public persons, representatives of various financial institutions and businesses. Throughout the AEF history the Forum was attended by more than 50 000 delegates from 150 countries.
The Astana Economic Forum offered 11 global subjects for discussion: single economy world, global strategy world, resources world, new clean energy world, longevity world, future money world, global security world, new humanity world, cities world, singularity world and digital world.
The CPC, AEF is a useful professional platform facilitating expansion of mutually beneficial contacts and further development of integration processes.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. The length of Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; more than two thirds of all export crude oil from Kazakhstan and crude oil from the Russian fields, including those in the Caspian Region, are transported by this route. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also in poor weather conditions.
