CPC Handed Over an Angiograph to Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital in Astrakhan

On July 6, 2018, Nikolay Gorban, General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, and Astrakhan Oblast Governor Aleksandr Zhilkinin took part in a ceremony to hand over an angiographc X-ray unit to Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital.  The Charity Agreement for the unit purchase of RUR 45 M was signed by CPC Head and Oblast Governor in March, 2018.
Being one of the major multi-discipline health care institutions in the Oblast, the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital provides specialized medical aid to patients with acute cardiovascular malformations. The Hospital has the only vascular surgery department in the Region.
In addition to urgent stent angioplasty, the new angiographic unit will allow to perform planned coronary angiography for early coronary artery risk detection, and will be used to deliver health care in a number of emergency situations or when there is a risk of their development.
It should be noted, that the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital has all necessary conditions for further development of X-ray services: a staff of specialists to ensure the 24/7 operation of the angiographic unit, a process for inpatient admission for planned angiography, necessary space for the installation of the angiographic unit.  Specialists emphasize that this equipment will allow them to significantly reduce the cardiovascular disease burden and decrease mortality rate, and develop high-tech specialized aid in the Region.
As part of its charities earlier, CPC has already delivered medical equipment for the total value of RUR 14 M to that Hospital, including: lung ventilator, bedside monitors, acute dialysis unit, gastrofibroscope, bronchoscope, other types of endoscopic equipment and specialized observation beds.
FYI:
The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
