The first round of the ‘CPC for Talented Children’ contest is over

The first qualifying round of the contest “CPC for Talented Children - 2018” between child amateur creative teams and single performers from regions of the CPC pipeline route in Astrakhan Oblast, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai and the Republic of Kalmykia is completed. In general, about 1,500 video clips were submitted to the contest. Almost 6,000 gifted children and adolescents participated in the contest.
More than one hundred and fifty video clips were sent by creative teams and individual performers from Astrakhan Oblast. Among them are pupils of boarding school No. 13 from Enotaevsky district, representatives of the folk dance group "Yagodka" from the village of Sasykoli, Kharabalinsky district, boarding school No. 18 from the village of Liman, etc.
Representatives of Kalmykia, including contest participants from the Elista Republican Children Creativity Center, children's vocal and dance group "Teegin odn", boarding school No. 1, and the Primanych secondary school from the village of Iki-Burul, etc. sent to the contest more than 200 video clips.
About four hundred video clips were received from Stavropol Krai, in particular, from the children's art school of Turkmen municipality, secondary school No. 1 from Izobilny, “Vdozhnovenie” and “Zapava” bands from Ipatovo. The majority of video clips from young residents of Stavropol Krai (almost a hundred) were for the nominations "Pop Music" and "Choreography".
Representatives of Krasnodar Krai were the most active contest participants. They sent more than 700 video clips to the contest shortlisting panel. Among them - representatives of children music school No. 1 named after A. S. Danini from Novorossiysk, the "Cantabile" choir of senior classes of music school No. 1 named after G.V. Sviridov from Kropotkin, the children school of arts from the village of Kazanskaya and many others. 
Video clips sent to the contest are reviewed by a credible shortlisting panel consisting of well-known artists, honored actors of Russia, teachers, winners of various international competitions. Among them are representatives of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky, the Russian Academy of Music named after the Gnesins, the Russian Institute of Theatrical Art (GITIS), the Theater Institute named after Shchukin, the State Musical and Pedagogical Institute named after Ippolitov-Ivanov. 
The second regional round of the contest in September-October 2018 in Astrakhan, Elista, Stavropol, Krasnodar and Novorossiysk, respectively, is awaiting the participants of the first qualification round. The best in their nominations will receive invitations to the contest finale to be held in Moscow on October 26 - 30, 2018.
    
The festival "CPC for Talented Children", which was launched almost two decades ago, is intended to promote and preserve folk traditions and culture, help to bring talents to light and acquire new skills during master classes with well-known teachers. Each time the program discovers bright new “stars” who then become worthy representatives of their regions at national and international festivals.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects with foreign capital in the energy sector in the CIS. Length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk Pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region.
